Pro Lifers in Uproar Over Unaired Super Bowl Ad

Catholic Groups are freaking out over NBC's refusal to show their low rent propaganda.

I'll give one thing to the pro life crowd, they certainly are consistent. The O'Bama Fetus commercial is basically the same anecdote trotted out with Mozart as the subject.

If we follow this remarkably stable train of knowledge, then I suppose we would be perfectly justified in aborting Hitler.

Would this be the inconsistency logical fallacy?

1 comment:

  1. Indeed. Let's make a version in which the unborn fetus grows up to be ... Jeffrey Dahmer. Jack the Ripper. Or, to appropriately consternate the pro-life logical circuits, an "abortion doctor". The SC justices who voted for Roe v. Wade.

But I think this is only the inconsistency logical fallacy if they claim only "good" people have the right to live, or something like that. As far as I know, the belief is that everyone has the right to live, however blastospheric and not-yet-human. It's just good marketing to show us Obama and Mozart and Mother Theresa instead of Hitler and Dahmer.
